About the owner
Jose Omar Davila was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. At a young age, Omar decided to pursue the American dream by immigrating to Houston, TX. Omar started his welding career working as a janitor at a welding shop near his home. Thanks to his former boss, and growing family, Omar was motivated to practice welding during his free time. He eventually learned to read blue prints and fabricate as well. After outgrowing his position and earning his certifications, Omar decided to take a leap of faith to quit his job and create VYO.

About the company
VYO which stands for Virginia y Omar, has served Houston and its surrounding cities since 2006. In the beginning, Omar was renting a small shop to handle solo projects like gates and welding repairs while Virginia was the office administrator back at home. Today, VYO has a team of 8 employees which includes his son Omar Jr who now handles sales and marketing. Even though we are a small team, we have the skills and equipment to handle large scale projects both in our shop or on the field. Because of this, our great team has had the privilege to complete steel work for hundreds of custom luxury homes in and around Houston, two of which were for players of the Houston Astros!

We have been partnering with the same contractors and builders around Houston for more than a decade . This shows us that our clients know the value of our skills and work that they are paying for. All of our employees are certified welders and have multiple years of experience. We can provide a Certificate of Insurance upon request. Our goal is to satisfy our customers and to receive their recommendations!
